Default MB A1937701798 and A1937701898

I have 2 convertible top weatherstrips and need to convert them to MOPAR part numbers. The above subject MB numbers are molded into the weatherstrips. I am hoping the cross reference is 05142211AA 05142210AA and not 05142211AB 05142210AB.

The cross reference document here on the forum does not match.

I already have parts A1937701798 and 1898. I am trying cross reference them to the MOPAR part numbers.

Depends on your build date according to the parts catalog. More than likely both parts NLA/discontinued.

The numbers you've used in your header are not Mercedes Benz numbers, since the first gen SLK model numbers started with 170, not 193. The 193 was assigned to the Crossfire during the manufacturing process at Karmann. The SLK had a retractable metal roof vs. the Crossfire cloth roof. I'm sure the rubber parts are not interchangeable. Steel Rubber Products may have or will create a new part(s).
Good Luck...

Search the Mopar-MB-xref using the word "weatherstrip"

You "need to" convert them? Why? Do you expect to buy new parts?

Because if you find new parts, please post in this thread where you found them and provide photos of the new parts (photos not because we don't believe you, but so that those who don't understand the terminology will know exactly what parts you found).

And if you DO find new parts, please help me find a unicorn for my granddaughter.

I have found NOS parts through this site: https://www.worldpartsdirect.com. Picked up some Drip Rail Molding, B Pillar Molding, Right.

The parts I found are very nice used front and middle folding top parts with the A193 part numbers molded on them. I am trying to figure out if the middle folding top parts are 05142211AA and 05142210AA (before 1/14/05) parts or 05142211AB and 05142210AB (after 1/14/05) parts.
I did not want to remove the existing parts from my car (manufactured before 1/14/05) until I knew what I bought. The seller did not know what date the salvage car was manufactured. And I can not see the back side of the car’s moldings to compare to the purchased parts. The parts made before 1/14/05 are different on the back side then the ones made for crossfires made after 1/14/05.
This is a weird situation. Maybe the molding on the car is easy to remove and reinstall?
