I read the post about getting the TPS light off, it is in the area of overhead console. It explains to take overhead light cover off and switch the purple wire with the empty slot at port 6. I cant get the purple wire disconnected, why cant i jut cut the purple wire if its going into a empty port anyway.?

You can cut the purple wire. Give yourself enough lead if you ever have to splice it back together. Protect the ends of wires to prevent any shorts. James
