Default Special Tool - Emergency Key

Several owners have wanted to know if there was a Chrysler part number for the Key to pull out front grill for towing, etc. The number is below.

Part number 5140795AA - Emergency Key

Like I said in another thread...It works best for beating people who put door dents into your car! (Or A**HOLES in big trucks with trailers who reside in Canada)!

The tool was in my glove box. I don't think I would order it, unless it is cheap! Doesn’t really do much for you. You can do the same thing with a screwdriver and/or needle nose pliers. The pliers actually work better than the tool. It is easy to just pull the grill out with it.

Check your trunk where the air compressor, is also in the netting behind the seats.

The front tow hook is behind the passenger side lower grill. The grill can be remove by pulling on it at the left side when facing it.

I think the tool would be more critical if you got caught out somewhere and the top would not go up than for removing the grill for towing. I'm sure you might be able to find a thin wrench for that but with Murphy's Law it might be a good idea.

OK, I'm being lazy and don't want to look it up. How do you use the tool to bring the top up if not working?

THE TOOL UNLOCKS THE TONNEAU COVER THERE IS A GAP AT THE FRONT OF IT IN BETWEEN THE SEATS ONCE YOU UNLOCK IT YOU CAN LIFT IT UP AND PULL THE TOP OUT.... USE THE TOOL TO LOCK IT BACK....
