5, not 3 alignment screws
Well after searching for the alignment bubble (?), and a way to adjust my horizontal alignment (yes, bulbs seated correctly) and still have out of wack headlights (I bought it used) I decided to take the assembly out to investigate.
There are in fact 2 vertical adjustment screws in the lower corners of the back. These are protected from factory with caps that must be removed. Alignment can be done by philips screwdrive or 10mm socket.
Horizontal there are 3, not 1 adjustments. The most obvious is the large manual adjustment screw in the back. This works great, if you headlight was installed correctly in the first place, no accidents, etc. Mine was not installed correctly by the moron that took it out.
If you have had the light assembly removed you will see these two large bolts. These are adjustments. If not, they are located where the lower attachement bolts are located underneath through the access panel.
First begin by adjusting the main horizontal screw so that it is in the center of its entire travel. This will allow you to make further adjustments when we are through. With the assembly still attached, remove only the bottom screws. You will now feel the alignment bolts. The screws actually go through the opening in the bolts. The end of these bolts touch, but do not screw, into the body frame. By turning them clockwise you raise the assembly, counter lowers it. This is just general alignment. When the attachment screws are tightened it makes a minor adjustment to the alignment. This is when you do the fine tuning with the obvious alignment screw.
I hope this helps. It did for me when I had a skybeam and no matter how much I tried could not get the beam down.
