how does this come apart?
I have a loose trim , it is the trim that is painted silver that goes around the windsheils,, I had had it repainted under warrenty and took it back today because it is loose the loose one is the left side also the body man found that the screws were not replaced in the rubber seal where the window/door closes to it ,, i want to know how to remove this because i am sure i can do a better job of installing it that they did, They has another crossfire in there for work to be done ,,i checked it and all three (top left and right sides) were all tight . if any one has removed this trin please let me know,, i feel it will blow off if i go over 50 mph, thanks jim

i had mine off when i painted my car. if i remember right, there are screws around the door seal and then pop it off very carefully. i'm not sure i'm remembering right though. i know i didn't have to spend much time to figure it out.
It's just metal clips that hold it on. It's very possible the two sided tape between the windshield trim and metal clip failed. I had to use epoxy on all the clips when I put mine back on to keep them from coming off. and yes I've had mine almost blow completely off going down the road, it's not fun.
Just very carefully start pulling the top piece off first, then the sides. You have to pop them back on pretty forcefully. When you pry them a way a little, you'll see where all the clips are located. There are 3 on each side, and 5 or so on the top peice. Use a flat tip screw driver or something to put in there and pry with. It doesn't take long.

Jim, be very careful with a screwdriver. It will bend the part. When the window was replaced in my daughter's SRT they use a relatively hard flat piece of plastic to remove the clips.
I'll call you Wednesday.
