Here's probably one of the better threads about the valve cover oil leaks.

Mine were replaced under warranty, no tsb that I know of. BTW, why would you take it to the dealer if you know that they don't know what they're doing? Isn't that asking for disappointment?

The same thing happened to my crossfire 05. Found out oil leaking from it, and the other one was on the pan. I remember I hit something on the expressway about 3-4 days ago. It's a small leak and will be going to the shop on tuesday. I do have a 7/70 warranty on my car, but not sure if this would be covered, and since my deducible is only $100 would it even be worth it to file. I put some High Temp RTV on both mating surfaces of the exhaust donut and re-installed and everything went fine. In your car i highly recommend going going to the dealership...They have the list of technical service bulletins there.

Re: oil leak

My LTD 2006 Roadster was leaking at the little covers to the valve covers. I bought some high temp RTV, cleaned the surfaces, chased the threads with steel bolts and used the aluminums to close up. Just put on evenly and loosely, let the RTV set up then tighten ( Just snug), to tight and the aluminum bolts will break. No leaks now. There is a thread about oil leaks at the valve covers, that's where I found out about it.
