Default How do I check for codes ?

I heard there is a series of buttons to push to get these codes to display? Is there a list of codes to translate here on the forum?

Take your car to Autozone, PepBoys or similar. They will read the codes for you.

No buttons to push. Like Tighe 1 mentioned, a code reader is needed to be plugged into your aldl connector under the dash to pick up any P codes in your system.

From reading his original post, I'm betting that he thinks that "pushing" on buttons, means he thinks the 2 buttons on the speedo unit. Yes we can get read outs on oil. oil change timing, service wrenchs, etc., but he might be expecting OBD codes there, and we know that ain't gonna happen. Just my thoughts......
