I just purchased a 2005 crossfire. The cables attached to the tonneau cover flaps are hanging in mid air connected to nothing. Can anyone tell where they connect? Or possibly direct me to a diagram???
At the flap end there is a circular track with a cut-out for the barrel shaped cable end.
At the other end, they are connected to the top lift frame.
When the top is raised, the flaps retract by coil spring tension, when lowered, the cables pull the circular wheels and cause the flaps to extend against the coil spring pressure.
I looked for diagrams in the service manual, but didn't find any.
I did find some stuff in the parts manual :

Thanks, Can you direct me to where the other end of the cable is seated? (top lift frame?). Do you know what the part is at the other end of the cable? I can not find where the cable end "sits"

Thank again. If you can move the image back about 6 inches so I can see where the cable meets the cable housing and where it attaches to the frame - that's where I'm still in the dark. THANK YOU!
