OK, Here it is. A video covering how to override the pneumatic trunk lock for Coupes and Roadsters, and how to override the electronic lock for Roadsters only. I even added in a piece on the Emergency Release cable with proof that you cannot override the electronic lock with the Emergency handle.

I’m trying to do this on my coupe to get the hatch open. I used an endoscope so I can see what is happening, great suggestion. The pawl is engaged to the latch and it rotates when I pull on the latch but nothing. The latch freely moves the assembly rotates including on the right side but it doesn’t unlock. What am I missing?

I figured it out. It was all engaged and rotating properly. I took out the passenger side light and looked inside. There was a little tab up by where it rotates. I just pushed that tab up with a screwdriver. It clicked and then the latch opened.

I hope you watched the video... And glad you were able to get it open.

:) Good you got it open, now make sure you FIX that electrical system by completely checking it out for 'melted' wiring near/around the lamp module (as you described previously in another post). If you find none, check further. Good luck! :)
