Unhappy Lane Marker Paint on car

The driver's side of my wife's Blue Jeep Liberty was spattered with yellow lane marker paint. I have tried just about everything to remove it, without success. Mineral sprits, GooGone, etc. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Call your local road dept. and ask what they use to remove the paint.

the only thing that will work is "finger nail polish remover". this will not hurt any metal painted surfaces but test a small area where plastics are located. plastics and the remover sometimes don't mix. but on a liberty...i think the rocker panels are metal.

this will remove it. but...you will have to polish the paint and wax it once the yellow paint is removed.

Andrew,

Thanks for the info. That is the one substance I had not tried. The paint is mostly spotted on the driver and passenger door, so the plastic should not be a problem. I will work on it this weekend.

John

Try claying the car. I got some over spray on my Xfire from another repair on my truck and it worked like a champ.
