I had the misfortune of buying some carpets from another ebayer who assured me the fittings for the carpets were the same and they weren't, couldn't be bothered to send them back at the time, and now it just winds me up when they slip to one side
I should have got the proper ones.

Mates sliping around.. have you tried placing Velcro on both the floor and the underside of the mates, may help. Or a small/short self taping screw and fiber washer screwed through the mate's and into the exsisting cup section...i.e where the original mate clip's would attach.
Just a thought

You may be able to get away with the scratchy velcro fixed to the underside of the mats. I have some on a box in the boot of mine, and it fixes to the floor really well. Use the fairly heavy strength stuff.
Sorry Steve...just read this thread and I guess it was you that I outbid on the ebay listing. Good news is that the same seller has listed another set:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=120321454450
Mine have arrived and they look great on first inspection.

...and somebody has already snapped them up so here is yet another listing...

thanks for the advice, I will probably try some velcro. One of the problems is that they have some holes in the right place, just the wrong shape holes and because the holes are reinforced with plastic and don't fit over the lugs in the floor they stick up... might try some surgery on the mats and see what I can do.
Mind you I would have to be quite drunk to buy these rear seat covers
Ebay number 120322179488
must be for the stretched limo version of the crossfire
cheers,
Paul

Paul..Try drilling them out to the correct size from the plastic side of the mat. I did this for a non standard set I had before buying the original Xfire set, which I paid full retail price for, so the Xfire one's on Ebay at the moment are a cracking deal..
