Cool Startech System Fitted

Just fitted my latest tweaky bit - a cat-back Startech exhaust system - this was an ebay ****** and a megga bargain at £127. It went on to my car a treat exept that I had to fabricate some rear hangar hooks with some intricate metalwork as these are not built onto the Startech muffler box as standard. System is different from standard in that it incorperates an extra expansion box as per SRT exhaust system. Sound is not a great difference from standard at low revs; around town no real difference at all, but more throaty when driving hard. EDIT: Have just been on good run and now have a nice sound at around 3000rpm upwards and 100mph sounds like ferrari !. Not sure if its my imagination but seems like more power as well.
System is much much heavier than standard though which dissappointed me a little. Im pleased with this bargain deal but must say I could not justify paying full retail price of £900. If the system was made from aluminium now that would be good.
Pics to follow!
Steve

Good buy.
I seen that on E-Bay myself the only thing that puts me off with the aftermarket systems is I don't think they look as good from the back as they don't fit the same in the space at the back of the car.
I think a couple of people from here grafted the original tips onto an aftermarket system.
Can I ask what how old your car is and what kind of condition the original exhaust was in?

Hi Norrie,
My car is a late 2005, the original is still in perfect condition at 26K miles, these are expensive to replace allthough one did recently go through ebay for £20!! This will be kept as a back up for now I expect. Ref your observation about fitting thecar; the tail pipes are much bigger than standard and completely fill out the space, but agree some like the Magnaflow dont. Im very pleased with the looks - much better than standard I think!
This is a pic of the Startech monster 6.1litre V8 Xfire. Only simmilarity with mine is the exhaust!
