Default New Forum SRT-6 Owner

Hi recently bought an 2006 Aero Blue SRT-6 Roadster and been looking through forums at all the mods I would love to make but most retailers are in USA and worried about customs. I am based in Ayr Scotland and wondered how many forum users from this part of country and if any meetings north of border. Chyrsler UK tell me only 37 SRT-6 imported to UK but could not say how many were roadsters / coupe, does anyone know ?

Cheers
John

Cool Re: New Forum SRT-6 Owner

Welcome aboard - great to see another new member here and congrats on your new car. We have been talking about a drive to the highlands this year so watch this space to if comes off. There are lots of mods and extras around for the car, depends wht you want to do. If there is anything specific you are interested in doing to the car there is lots of advice and experience here to help out. If you sear ch through the threads in here you will finf details and pics of previous meets, but the threads are not organised and are are all over the place. Mext meet is at Easter down south, then early summer in Midlands.

Good luck - let us know how you get on!
Steve

You guessed right suppose my user name gives it away. I've got a Suzuki Hayabusa, BMW R1150R Rockster and a BMW R1200RT

Enjoy! they are an awesome car. As per my sig I have done a few mods and can safely say it is now a beast. I had a run with a friends 996 turbo, nothing in it!

First week I had car I took it to get remapped and dyno tested but when I went to pick up car they told me unable to dyno due to TC/ESP and unable to complete 4th gear run due to kicking down to 3rd gear. Told me he manage to remap and est power up +25 bhp but it dont feel much different to me. Next I removed resonator box but droned to much at 70 mph and horrible when box changed down to overtake. Want to fit SL55 airbox and pipes and code3 pulley next. Wondered what other SRT-6 owners getting for MPG as I've been checking and on run getting 22-23 mpg and in town 15-16 mpg and thats taking it easy, gets worse when going for it.

Cheers
John

Cool I've got a Buell XB9S.
As for the SRT 6 I've always fancied getting one but couldn't justify the extra cash for one.

WELCOME BIGBUSA, Can you guess what kind of motorcycle I ride? (no peeking now)

I'm in California, but I have Scottish blood in me. I also have an SRT6 (roadster) and I can tell you, you bought the right car. They're fast, and you can make them faster easily and cheaply, that is, if customs goes along with you.

I was over in Scottland a couple of years ago and saw that huge statue of William Wallace on the hill, pretty cool.

Best of luck and hope to see a lot of posts from you.
