Warranty
Has anyone had any experience with click4 warranty ?http://www.click4warranty.co.uk/defa...FFILIATEFUTURE
just got a quote for a 3 year warranty for the Crossfire for £561 for the 5 star warranty what I thought was pretty good.
It's £315 for a year or £455 for 2 years but I think the best value is for three years but i don't want to take a tree year warranty and then find out it's a waste of money.
What do you think?
Norrie.

Does no one have any thoughts on this?
It's a fairly reliable car but they are expensive to fix if something goes wrong.
When the car was under warranty I had to ge the front ball joints done at 10,000 miles and it was only two years old.

HI Norrie,
not sure if you saw my thread on the Chrysler warranty which is much more expensive :

If the Click 4 is equivalent I might be tempted, mine is up for renewal in a couple of weeks.
Ditto : has anyone else any warranty experiences ?
cheers

Norrie, can't offer you any first hand experience of click4warranty but after a lifetime spent in the insurance business I would say be very careful.
As with all insurance products you need to read the small print very carefully. My own feeling is that a lot of warranties are similar to the loan
protection /redundancy policies that banks try to sell to people taking out loans ( sic) ie they are not worth the paper they are written on.
You need to understand the exclusions/what is not covered and just as important what is covered if an excluded part breaks and is the cause of damage to insured parts. In this scenario you may find NOTHING is covered.
Lastly, don't take advice from the people selling the product ,read the small print yourself and make sure you understand it.
Good luck

Hiya
Not ignoring you - my Crossfire is only 2.5yrs old so is still under warranty. And of course, provided you are under 5yrs old, the warranty continues on a parts only basis. So not had any need to pay out for a warranty yet.

I meant to say, the automatic parts warranty in yrs 4 & 5 is only available if you are under 100k miles.
All that said, the two local Chrysler garages to me have both closed - Farnham, Surrey and Basingstoke, Hampshire. So its off to Maidenhead now for any servicing work. Took the car to Knowl Hill Garage two weeks ago - great service from them.

Snubby, I take it the 'Knowl Hill Garage' is the Chrysler dealer on the A4 ? I just want to be sure as this would be my local Chrysler dealer and its nice to have a recommendation.
That's right. They are quite small and probably less 'flashy' than you might expect a main dealer to look like, but they've been there for 60 yrs, so perhaps that's why they've survived this long!
My service was a 'B' service (2.5 yrs down the line and 22.5k on the clock) and was classed as a 'while u wait' service. It took them 1.25 hrs but all seemed to be fine. Just short of £200. Sort of expensive, but I guess not bad for a once a year touch.
At the end of the day, its only about 40-45 mins form Fleet. But I'll have to book a loan car for a major service.
So far, no problems at all. The only thing that happens occasionally is the radio turns on and Chrysler appears on the LCD, but it stalls at that point and no matter what you do, it won't move on to either the radio or CD. And then the next time you start up, its fine. The worse sort of problem - only does it now and again. I might put in a Kenwood or Pioneer unit one day.
