Hi All...Another option choice.
If we only visit the HMS Victory, rather than three ship's, the entrance is £12.00 pp rather than pay £18.00 pp. A short walking distance away is Gunwhalf Quay's, perhaps a trip to the top of The Spinnaker Tower for a fantastic view, one leavel has a class floor!! www.spinnakertower.co.uk
There are plenty of restaurant's for lunch and a huge amount of outlet shopping. Plus habour boat trips to view various vessels in port, or perhaps just sit and do a bit of people watching and enjoy the view's.
It goes without saying..just do you own thing on the day and we can meet up later.

Hi,
to clarify - we’ll be travelling down on the Saturday - so getting there for your planned 10 am start on Saturday will be a challenge. We probably won’t arrive until sometime Saturday pm.

I'm not sure what time I'll be there either on the Saturday. I was planning a leisurely drive down, a chilled evening before and a full day of Ken's activities on the Sunday. But happy to hook up with anyone for the cruise down.
Paul...Start times..If we want to cover Saturday & Sunday with crusing and visiting the sights listed..then we need a resonable start time each day, 10.30 am is a resonable time.
W have xfire owners that will either come Sat or Sun for one day only, so a later start on either day will limted their time with the group and where we can visit.
Sunday is always a little tight on time, as folks will be heading home towards the end of the afternoon.
Please let me have your thoughts on the above.

Google estimates a journey of 2.5 hours from here to the hotel. I reckon we'll have to leave at around 7:00 - 7:30am to be sure of a reasonable time of arrival - there will be the need for a break along the way, I'd guess.
If you can post an itinerary for Saturday, if we don’t make it by 10:30, we could catch up - we have maps and my new phone has some kind of GPS - it’s been helpful in locating the park bench I was sitting on the other day, and cups of tea in London. I’ll PM you my new phone number. Being in touch by phone on the Saturday may be the key to avoid disappointment.

Hi All. Please note change's to the two day May meet..
Considering the distance some owners have to travel and the early start time I suggested, I have ammended the weekend events from two days to one.
Meet Sunday 31 May for a 10.30 start from the Holiday Inn car park..location listed. Venue or venues to visit can be discueed and agreed by all those attending.

Steve..careers come first...be good if can make it, if not, see you at the July meet.
Looking forward to the Sunday gathering and hope to see as meny gleaming crossfires as possable. Be nice for me to show you all my neck of the woods.

Althought I'm not staying Saturday night 30th at the Holiday Inn, I will be there in the evening (location bar) to meet up with those that are.
There are plenty of excellent pubs and a variety of restaurants close by, so no need to eat in the hotel.
Still rooms available at the Holiday Inn if you fancy staying over, cost £55.00 per room, double, twin or single inc breakfast..
