We have snow!!!
We have an inch of snow on the ground with another 3 or 4 inch's predicted overnight tonight. If it lasts for just over a week we will see our first white christmas in years!
Driving to work is going to be fun in the morning! My rear Michelin PS2's are almost on the wear indicators.
I was in 20degC heat only two weeks ago.

Oh yeah, you'll have an absolute riot going to work alright.
"Driving into work,
on Michelin PS2's
o'er the hill I go,
hope I don't hit you!"
"ESC is on,
flashing on the dash
oh, what fun to slip and slide,
to just go get my cash, oh..."
(sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells")
Merry Christmas mate! Best I could do on short notice!

I chickened out going to work in the Crossfire and took the wifes Honda instead! I would have had to dug the Crossfire out and would never have got off the street onto the main road.
Were expecting as much again overnight tonight.

The slightest dusting of snow in the UK and the country comes to a grinding halt with hundreds of motorist standed on the blocked motorways.
Here in Southern Maryland U.S.A., we may get up to 20 inches before the weekend is done! And like you Bazzer, I too have limited tread on my Continentals, but..... I have a jeep
.
Merry white Christmas

I'd imagine body parts are very difficult to source for the Crossfire over here so that was at the back of my mind before leaving for work this morning.
Talk to the blokes in Bracebridge Ontario CA. They got three feet in two days. Roofs in danger of collapsing, etc. That would be fun anymore.

Thanks for the tip on the cycling
Well, today was a laugh. I got stuck reversing off the drive into the road. Out road doesn’t get gritted, so it’s like a skating rink. Backing off, my rear wheels got stuck in the gutter. It just was not going to move up the camber into the road. We had to hack the ice off the road surface, melt it with hot water and put grit under the tyres. Succeeded, but it was a bit of fun this morning.
I must admit I've chickened out of driving on my road - although I no longer have snow on the car ice that I can barely walk on together with 'need to replace SOON' tyres do not a happy combination make so I'm in the other half's Kuga

Temperatures are rising so I'm hoping to take the Crossfire out tomorrow and blow off the cob webs.
This is turning out to be a terrible winter. More snow and hardly got above freezing for 3 weeks.
The MOT on the wifes Jazz expired Christmas Eve and never realised until a few days ago. Fortunately we haven't been using it but I am now forced to use the XF. At least the cabin warms up quickly.
