So I am doing the Insurance chase again, and right this moment, my current insurer’s quote is the one to beat.

I am noticing a new tactic this year. After you have plugged your details into a web site, almost the moment you close the browser window, they phone you up wanting you to buy then and there. I use the web sites specifically because I don’t want to speak to a “highly motivated sales operative with a keen eye for success”.

I think they will have to beat my current lot by £50 to make it worth my while doing the paper work to switch over. Last year it was a right old paper chase.

 

I use Confused.com and I can;t say I've ever been called up after getting all the quotes back... Worth using that site if you haven't already.

 

My wife just insured our other car using a couple of comparison sites and the “pestering” phone calls went on for two days. The first came whilst she was still on the site.
