Replacement Keys

Hi
has anyone had any experience with Timpsons in UK and replacement keys

Services. Remote Car Keys by Timpson

I am still chasing my spare key from previous owner and could get one of these keys locally.

I was in tmipsons Sat they can only do a standard key no remote at cost of £55

I had a spare key cut, the blank blade cost me about £4 delivered from Ebay and a local key cutting shop cost me £8. It works fine.

I have bought a brand new key and no problem getting it cut but i understand it has to be programed onto car by a dealer ????

I already have X2 working remote fobs, i just needed a spare blade.
