well 1st day in and I've managed to give my new rims the wortst case of curb rash... actually I've gotten worse curb rash on 1 wheel than in all my other cars put together!!! Mind you this could be the incentive I need to buy some new alloys instead!! lol

 

Perhaps this will take away some of your pain-

I'd only had my beautiful new wheels and tires for ~ 1 week when I curbed (kerbed) my passenger front about 1/4 around. The sound it makes is pretty sickening, is it not? Somewhat akin to the screech of a tomb door opening. Your own tomb, that is!

Now, it isn't so bad, 'eh?

 

Have also done both my rims a little bit on the front. Was a bit annoyed at the time but there are some good local alloy wheel repair places so I will get them sorted out. Once I have finally got used to parking the XF!
