Default Uk crossfire owners.

Observation...Reading the various posts from UK xfire owners, and noting there enthusiasm for the xfire, I'm surprised how few of them have attended xfire meets.

I realize that weekend work, family and social events come first..but the odd attendance to a xfire meets will put you in touch with other like minded owners both male and female, plus an interesting day out.

Check out www.ukcrossfires.co.uk for more info and event/location details.

For a good few years I'v attended many meets with the car clubs I've been in but sadly all the xfire meets this year have been on dates I've had other commitments to.
I am hoping to get to the Duxford meet. Do many usually attend this meet??

Russ59..Good the hear from you. Until owners list the meets there attending , I can't give a number for Duxford, but have a feeling this meet will be well attended.

I can assure you the I will be going so that's two of use for sure..

Keep a check on the forum for further details.

We will probably be going too

Would it be an idea to ask members for ideas for venues for next year?

The thought is good, but who will arrange everything related to the venue's suggested?

Paul (Beeblebrox) has taken over the organizing of groups arrangments from Steve-uk and I'm sure has his own idea's for 2013 future venues.

I'm always willing to help out in anyway I can

Reason for my thinking was , maybe turn out is not as good as it could be at some events due to venue/meet does not float many owners boat or done the same for a couple of years so can't be bothered. I just think it would be good for UKCrossfires to get new ideas thrown into the mix if only to gauge owners views.
As said before I am willing to put time in to help out

I agree repeat venue's could be a factor in owners numbers attending meets. As Paul has taken over the day to day running of the group, I feel the best route forward is to contact Paul directly, as I'm not sure how often he visits this fourm.

I will contat him and ask him to check the site. I'm certain he will respond to the suggestions made. He may also agree to having a few regular owners assiting in the arrangments for xfire events.

I only just got into ownership and I would assume my taste of vehicle modding is v different from majority of UK XFire owners, but I would still be well up for meeting other XFire members just for a good old chin wag and to pick up any ideas etc. Anywhere in London area that a meet is happening?

Chets..You may be surprised at the various mods etc that some of our owners have done or intend doing.

Check out www.crossfires.co.uk for future meet details. I've a feeling that unless you have visited before, you would really enjoy the Brooklands meet, so much to see and do, and usually a good turn out, with much chin waging available.

Try and make it

Having had various motorbikes over he last 7 years and being a member of most forums as well as running my own it was a deciding factor on me buying the MX5 as their club is one of the biggest in the world. Just the other week we did a trackday and broke a world record for the most number of convertibles on track at the same time (there were a few hundred).

Having discovered this forum and that there is an active group with events, is also a big factor in me (probably) buying an XF.

Afraid my budget won't stretch that far as I'm after a Roadster and the SRT's seem to be retaining value when compared to the standard car.
