Default MOT / service time

Just realised my MOT is due in a couple of weeks.
I live in Southend (Essex) and was wondering if there are any places I could take the car localy for a MOT and service. It's a one spanner service so how much should I be expecting to pay?

Thanks for the help

If you don't already have a garage that you trust, I would recommend that you fine an MOT station that only does MOT's, no repair work, so has nothing to gain from a fail and a good local shop to do your service. Can point you in the direction of both but they are accross the border in Kent

try Oakdene Autos in Bas, speak with Joe (the boss)... they're a great bunch there are happy to chat about concerns etc. I don't go anywhere else

Hi guys,

Thanks for the response. I got the car MOT'd at a local place and it passed. They didn't mention a slight power steering seal leak though.
The car is showing the indicator for a 2 spanner service. How much should I be looking at paying for that?
