Hi All,

I thought id share some pics of my XF. Everything is standard right down to the rear luggage cover. Low mileage 27k, only the odd stone chip and kerbing to wheels. I will probably annoy the hell out of you guys with loads of questions, like I probably have already!!!

Just wondered, whats the best way of clipping back the seat leather in place (you can sort of see it in the interior photo).

One small thing and its not a criticism just an observation, why did they mount the rear parking sensors that far up the bumper

As for the seat, you might have to remove the seat to get the trim back on properly but thats not a big job.

If it turns out to be more than clipping it back in, I'm sure a local leather upholster will be able to assist and they tend to be reasonably priced

TBH I thought that, but i hadnt seen any others with the sensors so had nothing to compare it to. Saying that our BMW 325i sensors are in a similar position.

Im going to have a look at the seat on the weekend when I get sometime, hopefully its just having a fiddle and losing the tops of my fingers lol.

 

Because the parking sensors were dealer fitted they put them where they thought was correct

Mine are a bit lower

 

Great looking car Tommy, low millage and tax bracket a good combination that will be harder to get as the years pass, Im sure you will enjoy it. I had a std coupe for 3 years in regular use & sold it with 68k on the clock only needing service items & a couple of front ball joints in that time. Happy days.

 

Thank you. I was looking for one that had that combination but because I was impatient I nearly bought a 2006 in the higher bracket, then this one come up thankfully.

I just hope I have the same luck with parts as you had.

Nice example there congratulations - the seat issue is common especially at the bottom, but it does clip back ok usually.
