Santa Pod 13th Oct (this Saturday)
yes Colin, we are weather dependent too
fingures crossed
Yes we will both be there, Elaine will be bringing the SRT (for show only) & I will be bringing the race bike, please look me up and give me a shout in the pits. The bike is a bit off a full attention kind of thing & I have to bring a couple of pit crew to help with it. It has some new untested features on it since last year so have softened the power & lowered the auto gearchange shift points until I am used to it again, Elaine does not normally come as she says I ignore her most of the day anyway but the opertunity to drive the SRT 220 or so miles has its own appeal and of course you lot are a welcoming bunch & will speak to her even if I don't (LOL)
We are also hoping a couple of good friends of ours Adrain & Suzie will be there with their red Xfire Roadster it will be their first club event so please make them welcome.
See yaall there.

Just the four of us like you said Mo, our friends have dipped out as well , I dont know who can you rely on these days maybe this event in future would be better attended in the summer still you never know there are lots of members that never look at this forum so we may get a supprise. If the weather holds off it may be good as there is not likely to be to many people there so should get quite a few runs in, anyway I am aiming to be there 9.30 - 10ish leaving Colchester 7.30 - 7.45 it is 110 miles door to door
What a gread day
5 SRT6's and 1 n/a
The weather was kind to us, a bit cold first thing but it did stay dry
It was also very quiet, not many going up the strip so hardly any queue to run, except when cbrsteve's dragbike decided to dump the contents of its sump on the strip closing it for 20 mins!!
hope not too much damage done steve.

Sorry about oil on the track from the bike but have now found out why it happened.
I run 75% of the fuel through the supercharger with the remaining being injected directly into the inlet port of each cylinder, one of the electrical plugs on the back of the injector had hopped off during the run causing that cylinder to run very weak & hole the piston, the reduction in power prevented the change into top gear which sliced quite a lump off the terminal speed. All I knew was it lost power at the top end & was running on 3 cylinders which did get me back to the pits just as well I did not fancy pushing it back the best part of 1/2 a mile. I did not know about the oil until I looked at my right leg this was soaked with from the knee down that had come out of the oil catch tank.
Thats it for this year will rebuild it over the winter & try again next season.
