Hi Guys
i have an intermitant problem with the interior heater Fan in my 2006 Roadster, majority of the time works fine but some times will not come on or sometimes just goes off for a few minutes

any one else had the same issue, is it a comon problem but most importantly any one know how to fix it ??

Not had problems with fan but electrical issues generally - seems to be a problem with the blade fuses and making good contact - try cycling fuse in and out a few times to clean contact area.
I had serious problem with LH Headlamp - did this - came back went away - used contact cleaner - good for a few weeks ended up buying new fuses and twisting blade slightly to increase contact pressure (very slightly a couple of degrees) been ok now for 6 weeks

There is a resistor block attatched to the fan motor that goes bad sometimes, could be it. Mine speeds up and slows down at will just to lazy to repair it. Try this link to find your problem. You can get the parts online check for R170 chassie or '04 320 slk i believe.
