[QUOTE=Robskytoon;744740]And another

Just had a pleasant surprise spot checked fuel consumption on last tank full mostly short journeys too - 26.8mpg!

[/QUO

Have a nosey on here most days

nearly 27mpg is very good for short journeys , recently took a 350 mile round trip and got 28.6mpg and that was at a nice steady 85mph on the motorway (sorry i mean 70 mph officer) , is your car manual or auto

Ok! there appears to be quite a few of you that check in on hear that we have not had the pleasure of meeting at one of our meets

It would be interesting to know why! don't pull any punches, just tell us as it is maybe we need to change things to accomodate more of you or maybe meets are not your thing.

Reminder, this thread is for UK members opinions only

Hi Mo,
Would love to get out more (!) but location is a problem - plenty of events in the south but they're just too far for us. Having said that, me & the Mrs plan to be at Gaydon (more Midlands really) but only 'cos it's a special occasion and we can combine it with a long-overdue visit to family in the area.
We were all set for the recent Eden Camp meet but Jane was taken poorly the day before - would have been nice to have supported a rare northern event - hopefully next time.
Shortly after I joined, I put a call out to Scottish or Borders members. Among the nice welcomes, I think there were three positive 'local' responses.
I know that several Crossfire members also have PT Cruisers (incl. me) so maybe combined meets with the UK Cruisers (poss. including 300Cs etc) would be a good way to boost numbers in the more sparsely-populated areas?
A meet for all the 'Quirky Chryslers'...?
Chris

Hi there!

Im new to the forum, i have already knocked up a brief intro post.

I've owned my Crossfire for nearly 5 years and if im honest i didnt realise how big a scene there is! I would love to attend a meet, if there is one nearby i'll give it a go!

I live on the south coast in the Portsmouth area but im in the military and spend a lot of time away from home so its a bit hit and miss really. Rest assured, i will keep my eyes open!

Oh, and call me Dusty!

Location is my problem, being on the Isle of Man i'm a £150 - 200 return ferry trip away unfortunately, but I do keep a look out just in case any meetings happen fit in with my trips over, i'd usually be in my work car but would make the trip in xfire if my route and time fitted in with a meet.

Lots of car clubs do weekends over here with the obvious attraction of the TT course to cruise around and some fantastic scenery, but our ferry prices don't exactly encourage tourism, however it might be possible to do a group deal with them so if you ever fancy an IOM trip let me know

Well you asked why people don't attend - in my case I have been to 3 since Feb 12, the first just after I bought my crossfire - a few of the other owners seemed to take delight in pointing out all the faults with it , another was Heritage - fine not really a get together just a wander around centre.

The other was MB World and Brooklands - after arriving went in out of the rain to have a look around as first time there from top floor noticed a stream of crossfires headed away.

Newbies don't know the ropes and meet locations are often new so a little more advance info on agenda would be useful either here or on crossfire UK site as long as we know which.

Besides that mostly they conflict with other arrangements.

Good point - as an example: Gaydon in Sept, there's been plenty of chat about the social side beforehand (which is great), but precious little about actual event details - unless I'm missing something. OK, maybe I'm jumping the gun and full details will be forthcoming soon but it's only a month away now so, as plenty of folks will travelling considerable distances, it would be good to know when full arrangements will be revealed.

So yes, be a bit more inclusive of newbies, please!
