Default Its gone!!

Farewell to my Crossfire.
The French guy came and was happy with what he saw, never wanted to test drive it, just gave it a once over, handed over the cash and went on his weary way.

I must admit I was a little sad to see it driving off but I have now picked my Z4 up and another chapter starts.

If I attend any mixed car shows and the Crossfire stand is there I will come say hello.
I will still browse the forum as I do with other cars I've owned.

Russ

Well done, glad it all worked out in the end, unfortunately the internet and its rogues have made us all mega suspicious of dealing with anyone from a distance nowadays, there are so many horror stories out there that it makes you feel guilty when you find you are dealing with a genuine person after putting them through the mill doesn't it? but its always better to be safe than sorry.

I know how you feel, when I sold my GTO after 12 years of ownership I wanted to chase it down the road and give him his money back when he drove away, but I felt better knowing I was going off to buy my Crossfire in a few days time

Even though I was a little suspicious at the beginning everything has turned out fine.
I sold my old Supra to a Swedish guy a few years ago and was cautious then but everything went smoothly, no quibble on price and no nit picking about the car.
I didn't think it would be plain sailing the second time around but now I think I would rather sell to foreigners, our cars are much cheaper than in their country so they are prepared to pay our asking price.
The guy I sold mine to is a trader and sources cars for clients and does everything for them to be legal in their country.

Worth knowing for the future then, I guess they'll have their own versions of things like the autotrader website so a good idea for anyone selling to stick an ad on a few of them with a bit of basic translation help.

Great to hear that Russ.

Sold mine this evening after a few days on sale.

Will be sorry to see it go. Without doubt, pound for pound the best car I've ever owned.

can I be rude and ask details in both cases (mileage, age and price)? I keep intending to put mine up and really don't know what to pitch at

Mine was a 2006 45,500 miles, few age related marks and sold for full asking price £5250
The French guy who came for mine told me a £6000 car in the UK is £10,000 in France so they don't quibble on price.
