I have spoken with the seller, seems genuine and he says the car is A1, only things needed are new brake pads on the front and one tyre needs replacing very soon. Says he needs the cash!!! It has been listed on ebay 3 times but never made the reserve of £7300. I have not seen it listed on any of the other usual sites

Sounds to good to be true so probably is! I am having a full hpi check done tomorrow, be interesting the results!!!

If it is a clean, straight motor £5800 is somewhat of a bargain even if it has a couple of small faults.
If it was closer to me I would def go take a very very close look! Still might if it comes back hpi clear

Is there anyone up in the North East who knows what they are looking at, willing to go take a look for me?

If he needs the cash, wonder why he didn't take £7300 when he had it - and it reached £7000 on 22 Sept - two chances at relatively decent prices and now he'll settle for much less??
Good luck with that HPI...!
Would gladly take a look for you but even though it's "north", it's still 200 miles from me - even further than when I collected my SRT...

I'm a crossfire owner looking out for an SRT6 model. I live in Sheffield and to be honest was not tempted. Crossfire lettering and SRT6 badge missing from rear? Very odd as previous high reserve and then later is happy to put on a low buy it now price. I suspect that the MOT is due

So MOT is due. If you were selling a car would you not ensure that the MOT was renewed! With a full year MOT you could then expect more in your pocket. Might be a negative view but I suspect the car has, "issues"

Possible, shame would have been nice to have an SRT6 and crossfire on the drive, never mind. Don't let me put you off though. Just have a thorough AA check over of the car before you hand over any cash. In the meantime if you see a BLUE srt6 for sale then drop me a line. (one for sale last month but was pipped at the ebay post).

But many owners de-badge!! I have on my srt coupe. So wouldn't read much into that.

at the end of the day, if anyone is seriously looking for an SRT - 6, Go and look at it. Just be careful!! Check everything!! It is hpi clear! But that does not tell all stories. What you got to loose apart from a couple hours of your time.
You never know, It may be a genuine bargain.

And its just been re-listed again!!! did not reach the £5800 buy it now, would luv to know what is going on with this car, Mo did you do an HPI check on it in the end?
Talking of scams I came across one recently when looking for a VW Tigaun where the cheapest at the right spec was coming in at around 12k suddenly there was one listed for £6,600 on ebay I contacted the seller only to get an ebay alert message that the sellers account had been hacked & did not have a vehicle for sale at all. This was a ploy to get direct contact with the scammer outside of ebay where they would ask for a direct payment for the vehicle that would then be delivered.. or not as the case would be.
Since then the same vehicle has popped up twice more at various locations over the country on different user accounts but at the same price so no one has managed to baseball the git as yet.

What I don't get is - why has no-one just gone round and bought it??
£5.8k for a low-mileage SRT is a good deal - and if it's not straight why have we not heard?
IIRC there are several forum members who claim to be dead keen to get hold of one - so knowing full well they are worth more than this, why has no-one snatched his arm off??!!
If I wasn't already sorted, I'd at least have gone for a look - if was all good, it would be mine by now, and if not, I'd have reported back on here.
Why the big mystery?!

Contacted seller about missing boot logo and badge via ebay. He did not claim to have de-badged, just stated that the SRT-6 badge was located on the side of the car only. Did not make any further reference to the missing "crossfire" letters. This guy does not help himself does he!

I have spoken to the guy on the phone, only thing I could get out of him was that he needed to get some cash fast, hence the cheap price

The silly thing is, if he had just advertised it on say, the Trader, at a sensible price of around 8K it would probably have flown away

Beats me!!!!!!
