well a sale was agreed yesterday and tomorrow evening the XF is going to disappear up the road
On the one hand it'll be a shame (I've actually really enjoyed this one) and Da Boss and I will be sad to see it go but it was too close to the Mustang to justify holding on to

What kind of mustang edged out the XF? When I was looking for a retirement ride, my criteria was that it have an American marque. I was down to: Mustang GT, Crossfire Roadster, and late 2000's Thunderbird.
It is a 2005 Legend Lime GT, 20k on the clock, just sounds glorious and is on a par mpg-wise. No, it's not as well built - but (in the UK at least) it's a rarer sight and makes me smile more (though not by much TBH). I think that what finally killed the X for me though was the lack of a V8 :-(
