2008 Crossfire coupe - Scotland
Hi,
Im selling my 2008 crossfire coupe 6 speed manual with 41000 miles on the clock.
The car is in good condition, MOT till Feb 2015, services 3 months ago and taxed till the end of Sep.
The car is metallic blue, with full leather heated electric seats, cruise control, air con etc etc everything you would expect.
I am looking for £5995 which I think is a good price for a 2008 model.

any questions just message me please.
thanks

That's actually incorrect, the last Crossfire rolled off the production line on Tuesday 18 December 2007 in Germany (Chrysler website), I very much doubt Chrysler would allow cars to sit for 2 full years as your reply seems to lead everyone to believe.
Easy to check the exact date of manufacture
Look inside the drivers door - on the post should be a label, this will tell you the day, month, year and even time your car was made !
A few cars even have the name of the guy who made the car

Apologies not out to 'mislead' anyone.
So even if your car was the last one to be produced it would still not be a 2008 model would it ??
All model years were manufactured toward the end of the previous year. 2004 model was produced in 2003, 2005 model in 2004 and so forth. So the final 2008 models were produced in 2007. At least that's my understanding....
BTW the official line is Chrysler discontinued the Crossfire after the 2008 model year, as part of its restructuring plans.[13] The last Crossfire rolled off of the assembly line on December 17, 2007.
UK and NA cars have different ways of specifying the model year. The UK and Europe have 2003 models and presumably end in 2007.
NA starts in 2004 and ends in 2008.
UK cars list year of registration as the year but I'm not sure how that would apply yo a 2003 registered in 2004.

Can't see what the problem is!! At the end of the day, the guy is selling a 57 plated Crossfire, which means it was REGISTERED between September 2007 and March 2008, the V5 will give the exact date. The chances of it coming off the line in 2008 is highly unlikely as I believe that RHD production ended in 2006 (I could be wrong with that) as there were some special order cars produced in 2007. The label on the door pillar will give exact date this particular car came off the line.
As for year "model", as there were never any facelifts introduced over the years, all year models are exactly the same!!!
Anyway, I must say it looks a very tidy example and is being sold for a very good price!!! and if it was a little closer to me I would be having a look at it!

Approx 4250 RHD UK cars were made - the earliest registered as 53 plates, yet the first production cars were made Feb 2003 - why do we see no 03 plates? Maybe because RHD UK production started later and was tiny by comparison - just over 5% of the total. If any UK cars were made towards the end, the proportion would be even smaller, hence very few 57 or 08 plates - and many of those could have been made a good 6 - 9 months before first registration.
So Blingo, no doubt you've got a lovely car there but what date is on the door pillar label?
