Ace Cafe 28th March 2015 11am
Hi guys,
As usual, Crossfires are welcome at the UK Cruisers (PT Cruiser Club) Spring meet at the legendary Ace Cafe.
If you're thinking of attending, please post below or just turn up on the day.
I'll probably be in my PT but I'm also a Crossfire owner, so please come and say Hi.
Cheers
David

Wow, that's the biggest turnout for a while. I'll probably be in my PT rather than the Crossfire (well I am the London rep of the PT club!). Trying to convince the wife to come so we can bring one of each
Cheers

Every time I see the Ace Cafe metioned, I remember the Ace that was on the A1 I think and not far from where I lived in Potters Bar in the early sixties. The Ace was where the Ton up boys met up on their bikes before racing back home.
I remember catching up to one of them when he got run over by a truck, by sheer coincidence he turned out to be a friend of a friend. It was not nice to see.
The Ace you talk about is on the North Circular?

I think they are talking about the same place, the original (on the North Circular) closed in the late 60's or early 70's and became a tyre dealer, someone bought premises a few years ago and re-created the original cafe once again in the same spot.

Nice one Ian, the potted history within your link here shows some fantastic shots http://www.ace-cafe-london.com/History.aspx
