Default Automatic links placed in posts

When did the page hosts enable certain keywords to be linked to outside forum webpages?

The links appear automatically. I typed the word Sam's Club in a post and suddenly there the word was highlighted and linked to the stores website.

Can this feature be disabled?

I noticed that recently too and I'm going to try and find out if there's a way to disable that
As an admin here I have not found a feature yet to disable that but will inquire with the website owners

What will make it very confusing is in posts where we say don't use yet the web host puts a link in for it like we want the person to go check it out.
