Default San Diego

In the process of relocating to San Diego, looking to find some hook-ups in the area as well as a GOOD dealership. Any San Diego folks?

Scott

Rancho Chrysler off of Balboa in Kearny Mesa is the one I take mine to for warranty work. If your car is out of warranty I know a great independent Mercedes Mechanic in Downtown.

Another San Dieganite here and I second Rancho Chrysler. There are a couple more forum members in the area and hopefully they will chime in also.

Local hookups have been held in the Irvine area so San Diego is due to host one. Unfortunately the high gas prices will probably discourage another meet for awhile.

I bought at Costco in Carlsbad yesterday. $4.63 I think. I haven't tried Rancho, but I will. I've been taking it to Bob Baker in Carlsbad. No real problems, but I don't get the impression that they're all over it either.

Cruising around San Diego, I do see other Crossfires fairly often. There's a couple that are garaged near me. However, I don't know if I've ever seen another SRT-6 except at events. Mine is only a weekender at best.

Scott, how often does your BelTronics find a laser cop (assuming that model does)? Watching that "speeders" show the other day, every cop they had on was using a laser gun instead of a radar gun.

BTW - do you know yet what part of SD you'll be living in?

Thanks for the replies. Rancho Chrysler it is then, which is great, close to my office. I too have seen a fair number of Crossfires, more than I've seen in one area before.

eganders- I can only speak to the few times I've been hit with laser. Each time I was above the speed limit and was hit, the blocking must have worked, they didn't come after me. One time it was a cop on a motorcycle, he hit me and gave a dirty look, like he knew I was blocking him. So, given what I have seen so far, I wouldn't trade it.

Right now, I'm living down in the Gaslamp area but looking ar RB, Camel Valleym basically from the 15 over to the 5 along 56.

I, on the otherhand, am tired of San Diego and want to move out. If only property values pick up or at least stop declining.

Which laser blocker are you using ? I'm looking at getting one, just not sure which one to go for yet. I've seen that Laser Mask for $389 (I think it's the same as the Laser Blinder).

Saturday 91 octane was $4.18 at the no name corner gas station and tonight it is $4.11 at Thrifty and $4.19 at Exxon.

As of Saturday 100 octane avgas was $5.69. It had peaked at $6.11 a month ago.
