So Cal Idyllwild Meet
The So Cal folk had their meet today. Participation from San Diego was a little disappointing but we eventually had six Crossfires together. Three of them were actually in colors other than aero blue. Now that is quite an accomplishment for So Cal.
Here are some pictures and comments to flesh them out.
Eganders and his wife met me in San Diego. They were driving a new family member - an 2007 silver coupe they had recently bought. Silver really suits the Crossfire and for those of us who thought the car looked great from the back, well it looks even better from the front.
We met up with SRT Six on the way to Idyllwild. He has his black SRT6 tricked out and then some. Note the lambo door. Also note the disappearing act his license plate does. I'll let him post the details behind this little bit of engineering marvel.
We had Chinese food at the Hidden Valley restaurant and afterwards we played poker. OK, we were really chipping in to pay the bill. The food was great.
Nothing like a group portrait to remember the occasion, is there?
Mr Max definitely has a non-standard interior. He must wonder if he is driving a high end Mercedes or just a Chrysler every time he sits in his car.
More to come......

...... and the remaining pics.
Look out! The Crossfires are drawing onlookers again.
Thought I'd snap a picture of this lovely couple. Who are they? Find out at your local post office!
For those who have been to Julian, Idyllwild is much the same except spread out more with ample parking. The place is rustic and has a certain charm to it. Idyllwild is still a tourist trap, but it's a good one.
I had fun and got to visit a town I've never been to before. Lunch was excellent and the drive was entertaining. The only let down was that my supercharging began cutting out - looks like it's my turn for a new intercooler pump. On the plus side my cruise control worked fine (it was intermittently disengaging a month ago). Oh, and my new tires gripped like a politician holding a tax dollar.

Good times - great roads, excellent food, and a darn nice group of people! Those who missed out, really missed out.
Brent, thanks for putting this together and posting up the pix. Mike, you pix are equally appreciated!

Kudos to Brent for grabbing the reins and "forcing" this to happen. All that were there had a great time and a good ride up the mountain.
Hope we don't have to wait another year to get together.

My feelings too, Brent you were a great Emperor. You were also mighty quick getting those photos up. Right before one of those shots Miya told me to suck my gut in, she didn't tell me to do it in such a way that it wouldn't look like I was trying to suck my gut in lol
It was great meeting all of you. It was also great getting some of Karl's badges to dress up the beast.
Was that drive pretty or what? I finally pulled over and dropped the top. Would you believe it started raining? It was over fast and the top stayed down all the way back.
To anyone else reading this thread, You want to make the next one. Great people, great times, and of course, Great cars.
