I doubt that cleaning your tires caused the TPMS to freak out.

More than likely it's a battery issue!

After reading DanielNTX's foray into this matter...I'd suggest some black electrical tape applied to a particular part of the dashboard!

If you took the tires off to clean them and did not return each to it's original position (right front, left rear, etc.) I believe that you will get the light and you need to have it reset.

the recommended pressure is 32 psi, you're at 35 psi. 3 psi over on all four wheels gives you a variance of 12 psi, which is more than 25% out of spec... try going down to 32 psi all around and see what happens.

IIRC the light comes on when you're 25% out of range of the recommended pressure. i've read a couple things on here that it may be a combo of all the tires' pressures; might be worth a shot.

well my factory warranty won't cover this i'm at 40k and the one i got are shady if its not major it won't be covered. when i washed the rims i did them one at a time so there could be no mix. i did think battery cuz my B-13 did that to me but its been a week. i did think of taking the psi down to 32 but i did not want to mess with it cuz that's how the car has been since i got it. i do wonder what device is it thats activates the low psi? cuz if the psi is low or high how can it tell.

The only way to tell is to use a DRB-III Scan Tool. It reports which tire is reporting the issue. You can get one of ebay for around $2,500 to $3,000. You can also buy new for $8,900 from Amazon.com.

eBay:

Amazon.com:

Also if you order make sure the software version on the tool is at least from 2004.

Not true. I have rotated my tires side to side and didn't have any problems with the light coming on.

I wasn't implying the car battery...I was talking about the individual sensors themselves. Each one has a battery in it!

BTW...rotating your tires will cause no immediate problem...but each sensor has a different frequency...If you take your car into a service center and they pull the LR tire because the diagnostic codes told them to, when in fact it's the RR tire that's the problem. Don't be surprised when they charge you almost double for the repair!
