Default Rotex gold?

Where is everyone getting theirs? Where do they come from... How much... I am tired of the stock pads. Thanks everyone.

These are for an SRT-

D9682D Rotex Gold Brake Pads - Front
D9603D Rotex Gold Brake Pads - Rear

For the record, buybrakes.com has a $10 coupon right now...and free shipping.

BUT, they are currently out of stock for the front Brakes. They had to back-order 1 set for me (I ordered 2 sets and they only had one). Said they should get a shipment around the first of October.

Have had them two weeks...Love no dust but so far hear a noise that grates on my nerves for just a second when coming to a stop...high pitched squeal...didn't have that before and with the top down...like nails on a chalk board...

Did you apply "anti-squeal" to the backing plate when you installed them?

Did you have the rotors resurfaced before installing the new pads ??

I had 5,000 miles on my car when installed and had the rotors cut on advice of this forum. No squeals at all. If I order an '08 at lease end I will have a set of pads at the dealer before I pick up car. Hopefully with 0 miles I won't have to cut the rotors. Any thoughts?

I'm not a mechanic, but with a brand new car I can see no value in having the rotors turned. I would just put the new pads on.

the "rotors" (edit) will not need to be cut if your car has less than 1,000 miles or so.

I wouldn't cut the PADS no matter how many miles I had on the car.

I had approximately 2,400 miles on my original pads when I went to the Rotex Golds, and did not turn the rotors; just made sure I had plenty of ant-squeal grease applied, and have had little dust and no squeals to date (3,500 miles)!

I guess I close enough to the 1,000 miles (give or take 1,400) so I guess you could say I was lucky and got away with it?

I know that, look at Andrews post, I was just poking a little fun at him for messing up, I know he meant rotors.
