Default lug bolt issues

for those who have experienced the too long lug bolt issue, did u have to trim the fronts too? I shortened the rears but not the front. I don't think anything is rubbing but I'm not positive.

I'm using gorilla lock lugs and mandrus milleniums.

thanks in advance!

No, there is nothing behind the hubs there. I think!

Just the rears have clearance issues due to the e-brake behind/inside the rotor.

When changing over to custom wheels, would it be so bad to just screw in studs from the back side of the axle backing plate with lock tite added??? Wouldn't that method give us more wheel options? Just ditching the factory lug studs. Squirrel Crusher

if you pull off the wheels and insert the lug studs you can measure the protrusion both stock and with your aftermarket wheels. measure the difference and i can dig thru the mercedes parts films to see if we can find what you need. WE NEED AT LEAST 7 THREADS GRABBING!

I only removed about 3/16th - to just under a 1/4 of an inch from each rear lug bolt. They were just barely hitting the e-brake springs. The whole effort took about 15 minutes per wheel including the removal and re-installation. Piece of cake!
