Default Do I really need TPMS sensors on my wheels?

I know this must have been answered here in the forum before, but darned if I can find it.

Anyway, I just had a new set of tires mounted on a new set of rims. I totally forgot about the TPMS sensors. There's no way I'm going to get a set of these before setting of for the spring Dragon on Thursday.

So my question is:
Do I really need these TPMS sensors? Is the only consequence to not having them an idiot light on the dash?

The only consequence is the light on the dash! Don't sweat it and have a good trip!

Steering wheel hides it most of the time. a piece of black electrical tape will fix it permanently.
So would a CICCI sticker.

unless you regularly check your tire pressure, you don't need one.

and if you have a tire blowout, you'ld hear and/or feel it before you would even notice the tpms light...
