New rotors, what's everyones favorite?
Hey everyone, about 42,000 miles and it seems like it's time for a brake job!!!
Looking at new rotors, the price isn't to bad. I'm not sure if getting drilled / slotted rotors is worth the price, I like the look a lot.
Anyone have any favorite brands for rotors? I had the rotex gold front pads but they only seemed to last ~20k miles... so i don't know if i'll go with those again.
I see all these on eBay, they are really cheap. Probably not a good idea, I don't want to die because i saved $150 on brakes!!!

Did you get regular, cross drilled, slotted, or drilled and slotted?
drilled is all they had at the time....very good to work with...the axxis pads are ceramic...just a little dust at the Dragon, but they were getting used really hard...brake lines and fluid upgrade are the best results...you have to do that...good luck

If I hadnt done my brakes and rotors last year I would do the C32 setup. I would still consider doing it when I have the other little projects done that I would like.....
I went with PowerDisk slotted rotors, DiskItalia titanium kevlar pads, Goodridge SS lines and racing Blue fluid. I am happy with the way this setup performs...

I just bought new rotors for the front and back, dimpled, slotted, black zinc coated with free shipping and pads. I have to get them on as the weather has been really wet. I'll let you know how well they work after installation.
Andy was really helpful and friendly to work with (but isn't that his job? you say?)

mine looked fine after playing at the Dragon...keep in mind you are only stopping 3200 lbs in my case, coupes are lighter...really no need for big brake kits...and unless you are considering NASCAR, we really don't run that long or that hard to heat them up that much...maybe the NASA, SCCA or other club racers might, but they shouldn't...just my .02....
Those that are using the r1, are you using the e-line or performance?
I just took the plunge on a set from a company called "iRotors". I've read good reviews on them. I guess the reason why they are so cheap is that they are Brembo blanks that are drilled / slotted, which apparently isn't a good thing. Although, I never ever autox or stop hard (unless I have to), so under normal driving i think they'll be okay. Plus, they sure do look cool.
The total was $240 with free shipping / no tax delivered. It includes 2 front and 2 rear slotted / cross drilled rotors, and all new brake pads. They were on eBay for $320 but I put in a best offer of $240 expecting to be declined but to my suprise they accepted.

Hopefully they'll be good, Once I get them and put them on i'll come back and say what I think..

Thanks!
Go to Tirerack.com, check out powerslot rotors. I have had them on my car for three months. THEY ARE GREAT. I also have the Akebono ceramic pads. THEY ARE GREAT ALSO. Just in case you want to know, the pads have the sensors holes already drilled in.
Here's the question..................are the Non-SRT rotors the same size; betwwen 2004 and 2006? i keep finding s;otted rotors but a few sites only list uo to the 2005. I appreciate any help on this!
