I just did a posting on the upgrade I made to my rear suspension by adding polyurethane bushings I found to the sway bar. Photos and story for you in the srt-6 section.

I had also adjusted my rear camber to -0.6 degrees and did a posting of that work if you look under my posts.

I am a pretty lean a fit guy 190lbs but my springs have started creaking when getting out car...only in early am. Want to get some newer one to lower car. I am decent with repair parts on my engine..so could I DIY with installing springs over the weekend? Do you have to take brake calipers off? If so then I cant.

 

Jack up car or lift it
pop rear tires
use block of jack to apply pressure to inner are of control arms on rear and lift a bit

Remove inner bolt and allow arm to fall about 2feet
Spring FALLS OUT of arm
Install new spring and screw spring into the lower arms support area so it is bottomed on the spring perch.

Lift arm by hand and then jack
Insert control arm bolt with the least tension to align arm and hole

You can use a screwdriver to align hole and push it forward with bolt. Handle is on forward side of bar

Tap bolt in and tighten bolt.

Confirm spring is fully down in perch, use finger to see end of coil is resting against the stop.

DOne it a dozen times, not bad, wear gloves and respect the stored energy in the spring.

Do other side and then add wheels, taaaa daaaa]

Ok seems fairly straight forward...now to get the springs.
