Just bought new wheels!
Many of you know that I have Mercedes wheels on my car. My current wheels are 18x8 and 18x9. I have been running the stock tire in the front and 265 40 18 in the rear. I have been wanting a five spoke wheel that would better show off my big four piston brakes. I just found a great deal on a set of factory original take off wheels from a 2009 SL550 on Ebay and just bought them. They are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 I am planning on 235 or 245 40's in the front and 265 or 275 40's in the rear. What do you guys think of my new wheels? Should have them by next Thursday! I also bought a set of AMG center caps.
The old wheels are for sale for $300. I love the old wheels too but but wanted a more agressive look to go with the V8 as well as show off the MB/Brembo brakes. I also think these wheels have an OEM look that looks plausible Crossfire OEM. I have never wanted to make my car look customized. I am just making my car the way I think it should have come from the Factory. A little lower, better ride, better brakes, Xeon lights, and a bunch more power to suprise 350Z's and Corvettes!
It would be great if one of the 50 cars coming to Texas Motor Speedway takes the old wheels home with them!
Here is a link to the best wheel/tire calculator I have ever seen. Just remember that stock 18x7.5 et35 front and 19x9 et22 with 225 40 18's and 255 35 19 This is the best site for simulating different wheel tire combinations.

You guys are too funny! I didn't realize this when I bought them, but do they look a little like Dodge Challenger wheels?
What a great day! FedEX dropped of the wheels and two minutes latter UPS dropped off the spacers and then the mail lady dropped off new AMG center caps! The only thing better would have been if Discount tire had the tires in stock. We did do some trial fitting though. I was hoping to run General UHP's in 245 40 18 and 276 40 18's but the 245's hit the imfamous front suspension nut! I am now going to stick with 265's in the rear and go with 235's in the front. Although I am using 18" wheels, the is tire package will be just slighly larger and wider than stock. Tires have been ordered and will arrive tomorrow. Should have them on and taking pictures tomorrow afternoon.
