Talk about NEW technologies, Wow! Take a look at these tires in proto-type production, just amazing.
My wife sent me this in an email.





A new Michelin tire to be built here in S..Carolina

Yep, it's those tires. Sorry, I just saw these today. Still, very cool technology-they took the idea from the Mars Rover tires from the looks of them.

they might work for commuter cars, but they definitely have no future in any form of motorsport.
I'd be curious to see how they handle side loading

I actually have some experience working with these "Tweels". Great product. One of theses days they will bring these to maket. The best thing is that they can be tailored to almost any type of vehicle. While they may not look right on a Crossfire they might look good on off road vehicles. They will be good for many applications.

I showed these to a friend and he brought up a good point. What about the effects of getting ice, snow, or mud packed in the openings, wouldn't that, at the very least, throw off the wheel balance?
