Srt6 / Slr
finally got the new rims on the car yesterday. we went with 18x8.5 up front with 225-40-18's and 19x9.5 in the rear with 295-30-19's. they fit very nicely without any spacers. i may have been able to go to a 235 wide front tire now that i see the clearance but im fine with the 225's for now. We could have probably went with wider rear tires too although these 295's are some pretty wide meats.
we got 40k miles out of the original front continental tires

I came so close to buying a set of those the other day, it wasn't even funny.
Only thing that held me off was:
Offsets (rear) and uncertainty of how big the rear lip would be. Honestly, I wish it was a bit deeper dish, but it is what it is.
Since I've JUST bought the new Contis, I really want to stay with my 18/19 stagger. These would offer a great solution for that.

I almost pulled the trigger on the LM6 Reps as well, but now that you beat me to it Rob, can I ask which store you bought them from? Was it the powerwheelspro or whoever that had posted on the mbworld forums as well as here? How are they weight-wise compared to the stock SRT wheels?
The price on them seemed too good to be true for a quality wheel, but if you give them the OK they'll most likely happen.

Rob, Rims look great, but any reason why she is not lowered?? I think that would set it off, seems to be a little too much room between tire and fender.
(I know mine needs it too, but I do not own a badass XF shop either

I've always thought that style of wheel was one of the best features of the SLR.

I do have one question. Is the "pitch" of the spokes the same on all 4 wheels, or is the passenger side the opposite direction of the drivers side?

thanks, ya i like them a lot, although i am having second thoughts when i went to the warehouse to pick up the lugs for them and saw all the others they had in stock. these are high quality replica rims that are made in the same factory as the oem mercedes rims and come with a 2 yr warranty on them for the paint/clear/ect.. they just dont have the OEM part number stamped into the back of them.
the real slr rims do not have the "bolts" between the spokes but i think i like these better (especially since these were not $12,000). they are only "drivers side" rims so the passenger side swirls are going backwards. i was very hesitant about it before they went on but now that they are on i think it looks great in either direction. ill have to snap a pass side picture to post up for that.
here are some of the other rims they had there in our sizes, we can also get them in 20's if someone wants.
for the 18/19 combo we would be looking at roughly 750 shipped (in the continental USA) with lugs and centercaps.
