Rim Question? Size possibilities?
Well I did some searching around, but havent found an exact answer? I know a few members here put 20's on front and back, but Im not sure as the exact sizes for the rims and tires? Would I be better off with 19's all around? Here is a set I wanted, and it says they would fit, but then again, its hard to tell from the add...?? What do you guys think??

I wrote a nice response to your PM, and instead of a response, you start a thread basically saying I didn't help.
Good luck, but trust me when I tell you that no one here is going to be able to tell you if those will fit unless they have them on their car already, as I said, mine came off an XF and I still had to get spacers.
If you want a nice combo, go 18 and 19 or even 18 and 20 like I suggested, but 20s on the front is trouble, ultra low profile tire and tolerences that would make any engineer cringe....

lol tough guy
I meant no disrespect I simply wanted other peoples opinions, as with anything, I've learned to never get just one persons opinion! I appreciate your pm to me, however it really made me question things! Regardless, your response certainly steered me away from 20's, likely just do 18/19 or 19/19 but thanks again.
Listen to him. Even if he is a Purdue fan.
Try this tool. It helps compare OEM to proposed combinations. I went with a 19/20 staggered and needed spacers.

What makes me cringe is reading that eBay ad, It starts off about Crossfire owners, then goes to the "SRT8 forums." Who here has an SRT8 Crossfire??
I forgot... Lantana has one, haven't heard from him in a while.... Must be enjoying that purdy V8

There is a reason your first response was to ask me
There are only like 2 or 3 active members running 20s, so info is hard to come by and like I said, you need MUCH more info before you can determine if these, or any other wheel, will fit.
Max, that tool is invaluable, with the right info. When you go to the listing, there is no info on backspace and offset, just a tagline that says they will fit any XF from 2004-2008. The SRT and NA have pretty different suspensions, I know because my rims came off an SRT (fit perfectly) and on my NA, they would not even turn w/o spacers, so I am not sure how they can make a blanket statement like that.
I would go with a 20" on the rear, because they look soo good, especially a 295/30-20. Either do an 18" in the front (have plenty of room to play with) or even a 19", but please keep the staggered fitment, and if you can add a nice lip like the ones you posted earlier, even better.
I am trying to help, just trying to get across that this is not like replacing your windshield wipers and there are few people who will have definitive answers for you, so try and show a little respect to those who are willing to help.....

I had enough guesswork to last a lifetime (I HATE guessing) just fitting the 19's with minimal R&R's. I wouldn't want to even try 20's. But they sure look nice!
And, John. Did you realize that was your 2400th post?

much more understandable now boiler, thanks! Looks like I am likely going to go with a 19/20, as of right now. And I will be at the ND vs. Purdue game Sept. 4, my family has season tickets, Go Irish

ya boiler, ILL hit you up the week before the game, we will be tailgating up until the game time, so perhaps you can find our tailgating spot and have a few cold ones!!
Sounds like a great plan to me.
Keep us posted on what you do with your wheels.
(as soon as mine is no longer a DD, I think I may put 22s on my rear for an even more dramatic look

I don't think I'd want larger rims (and lower profile tires). If anything, I'd like a bit more profile in the back. More than that, I'd want to go wider.
I'm not sure how to figure out the offset, nor do I grasp why some people need spacers. It seems to me the stock XFire wheels, the offset is damn near all the way to the outside of the wheel. It would seem other wheels would have the hub more towards the center (or inside) of the wheel. That being the case, wouldn't bolting on those wheels move them out from the center of the car? Putting spacers on them would seem to move them out even further.
What am I missing here?
I like "deep" wheels. I wouldn't mind moving everything out a bit (not too much though), and going with wider tires.

the rear OEM wheels are ~ 215 mm wide. Divide by two to get the centerline=107 mm.
now the offset for them is listed at 22 mm. That means the mounting face of the wheel is 22 mm outside of the wheel centerline.
The front is 190 divide by two = 95 mm offset 35.
It's not that excessive. My daughter's '09 Rabbit is 190 mm width with a 45 mm offset.
The OEM wheels, especially in back are tucked pretty far in as-is. When I first bought this car, I whacked a dip in the road at 80 mph and "bottomed out". it was the rears contacting the inside of the wheel arch.
Any additional width, at stock offset, will be even worse.
Any additional width in the front will get the tire dangerously close to the upper ball joint nut. The tool I spec'ed earlier is a very good way to see what will get you in trouble.
You can add or subtract offset to position the wheel/tire in relation to OEM position
Hope this helped.
