Default Creak/Squeak In Steering

This noise is so annoying and embaressing. It's only when I turn my steering to the left. I checked my power steering fluid and it's fine. It only happens when I'm stationary or at low speeds and only when I turn to the left. It's not brakes definatly something in the steering column I'm lost as to what it could be?

Jack it up on safe supports and have someone look under the hood while you rock the steering back and forth. I suspect that the noise is in the column its self. THe assistant will at lease be able to tell you which side its coming from, and give you more data. Woody

Thanks woody I might have to get some lube or oil if it's the steering column and apply some to stop it creaking.

Possibly the steering damper

Chrysler's Part #: 68032068aa (price range from $430-$600)

My steering is creaking a bit at times,so this could be a relatively easy fix to add to my list of intended parts to replace! Interesting thread!
