Default Options going from 12mm lugs to 14mm lugs?

I have a line on a nice set of staggered 18" MB AMG rims and tires that I'd like to put on my 2007 base coupe. I've used the "fitment tool" link provided in this forum and it looks like there would be no clearance problems with the proposed wheel / tire combination. The only problem is that the wheels are drilled for 14mm lugs, while the xfire has the 12mm setup. Is there a good way to make this mod to 14mm or should I pass on the setup and look some more for the 12's? Thanks for a great forum!

Just bolt them up. You can use 14mm drilled wheels with the 12mm lugbolts(of proper length). I have put on and beat the hell out of a set of SL65 wheels and had no issues and they are 14mm.

I have a full kit of 14 mm helicoil inserts and tool kit for changing the holes to 14 mm's. I was going to do that and have replaced the 12mm inserts instead since most of my wheels are 12 mm. If you wanna switch over let me know, everything I have is in original packaging. Woody
