Default SRT springs in a N/A Crossfire

Ive got two questions? Is the na Crossfire lighter on the front springs to the point that it needs to be considered when determining how much to cut off the springs when lowering the car. With that said I,m looking to lower mine only a half inch all the way arround. How much should I be cutting off the front and rear springs to achieve this. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and opinions

Try removing 1/3 coil... Mine has a full coil removed for a 1.5 drop in front and 2" in rear.

I'm using #2 pads up front, #1 in rear

You'll love the ride, and more importantly, the handling. Our resident racers prefer them over Eibachs.

Thanks for the response, the pads you refer too, is that what is stock in a X-Fire, and I take it that they are a dealer item.

My OEM setup was 3-dot front, 1-dot rear.

I bought mine from Mercedes-Benz of Nashville for $7 each. I only went lower on the front, my OEM rear pads were the 1-dot. 3-dots on the front gave a negative rake (car leaned towards the back) and the 2-dot pads leveled it.

I know the difference is supposed to be only 4mm, but it certainly helped. Granted, allowing the springs to settle was a contributing factor, but... yeah.

If I had a whole Saturday to waste again, I would consider #1 up front and #2 in the rear... I prefer my car with a slight amount of rake towards the front, but it ain't worth tearing it apart for a mm here and there. She sits level now. Not so much at 130mph...

Thanks for the response, as soon as my rotors arrive I will be doing the SRT spring, brake upgrade, along with Koni shocks, and I do want to drop the car a little.
