Here they are. Have had numerous compliments today on them. Everyone at America's Tire were eyeballing these.
I'll end up getting the spacers but their isnt much of a difference. Waiting on my black lugs to come in Tues. |

That looks MEAN!!! I love it!
Now, get some color-matched calipers (aero blue) and you're set! Any plans to drop? |

I can tell there's a drop in the front, but the back still looks a bit high... JMO.
Not a bash or anything, as the car looks fantastic as-is! I'm glad you followed through on your plan to get the black wheels. |
Re: New TSW Donnington's....*Pics*
U think that's because I need spacers? Ur right it is high.

How long ago did you install the springs? |
Re: New TSW Donnington's....*Pics*
The rims have a offset of 40 on the rear like Dur was saying. I had a drop this morning running my stock set. So is the spacer neede to offset it back to factory and get my Height back?
I did get new rear tires too.

Re: New TSW Donnington's....*Pics*
Looking at the tires they gave me 275/30/19 that don't sound right? Can someone clarify?

I did get new rear tires too. What size tires did you go with? That may be the culprit. |
Re: New TSW Donnington's....*Pics*
Actually my work order states 265/35-18 but the back reads 275/30-19
I hope they didn't throw out my tires. That's the culprit I believe. |
Re: New TSW Donnington's....*Pics*
Stupid question is the 35 the height for the tires?

Re: New TSW Donnington's....*Pics*
The 35 is the height of the sidewall in % of the width(255, 265, 275). Or 0.35x275= 96.25mm/25.4 = 3.79"

Re: New TSW Donnington's... *Pics*
looks rad man! can we see a front a rear 3/4 view of the car?!
|
Re: New TSW Donnington's... *Pics*
Thanks Dur. I got the rear fixed with the drop. It was in fact the wrong tires, so they put my old ones on and I'm waiting on some new ones.
Dur, since the offset is off from the factory would the tires vibrate at higher speeds by chance? I noticed it going down the freeway today. Also I know JH recommended the eibach spacers, but Needswings said it will take 2 weeks to get them. Is their another place that sells the correct 15mm spacers that would be in stock? Thanks. I'll have updated pics tomorrow.

I'll see if I can dig up the thread **edit** Here you go: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...d-balance.html Also, a link in one of the last posts for an alternate place to order the spacers. |
Re: New TSW Donnington's... *Pics*
J, so if im understanding correctly if the centerbore is greater then 66.56mm then I will need hub centric spacers correct?
So if its at 74mm I'll need a 10mm spacer to correct the issue?

So if its at 74mm I'll need a 10mm spacer to correct the issue? Once installed, the new rims will be centered on the hub. That way the lug bolts serve to only fasten & secure the wheel to the hub. You don't want the lug bolts having to also center the rims on the hub. Typically at higher speeds, the centrifigal forces generated by rotation will cause the rims to move and vibration occurs. Hub-centric rings are always required unless you plan to always drive less than 40-45 MPH! But it's a Crossfire!!! It won't do less than 55 anywhere!!! |
Re: New TSW Donnington's... *Pics*
Here's a link to an outfit I've bought Hub Centric Rings from. And their pull-down menu makes it easy to find what you need. They are 1st-Rate!! I've got a set of the plastic version on my SSGT that has the Enkei PKR rims installed. They work fine.
In fact, when I bought the rims from a local Discount Tire store, they installed a set of aluminum hub centric rings that were close, but not exactly what was needed. The ID was small by about 1 mm and the wheels had to be forced onto the hub. Found this out a day later when I was installing some front brake pads. When I confronted them about it, they said they didn't have the exact units in stock & used something close. What a half-*** outfit!!!! Metal rings & not the correct size!!! I got the Store Manager fired when I reported this lack of technical capability & customer service to the main office. I ordered what I needed from above link and got them shipped overnight. |
