The rear brake caliper mounting bolts on my black Crossfire required a 16 mm wrench or socket yesterday. No torx bits were needed for the caliper mounting bolts. I used a 4 mm Allen wrench to remove the rotor retaining bolt. However I ended up stripping one of those bolts, and for a time I thought maybe I should've used a no. 30 torx wrench. But it was hot. The Allen wrench worked fine when I put on the new rotor retaining bolt back on. Torx sizes were not involved.

The manual for the car says I should've tightened the mounting bolts to 21-30 foot pounds. However, I could not fit my torque wrench--maybe that's what you're asking about--in there to tighten the caliper bolts. I had to estimate on that one.

 

Rennie, thank you for taking the time to help. It's been a bit of an overload for me here and so I didn't get back to this subject until now. This is not a complicated job, it's mostly knowing what can be forced and what shouldn't be. Also basic hand strength, I am just not as strong as my husband, so he did the "he-man" parts. I can't imagine paying for these to be installed, jacking the car up and removing the wheels is the most annoying part of it all. For anyone who finds this post we replaced pads and rotors; used these items in addition to others I've now forgotten:
16mm (rear) socket (low profile) (I see mention of 17mm)
18mm (front) socket
T45 torx bit
7mm allen wrench (had to buy separate as it wasn't in the set)
brake paste/anti squeak goo (black)
spray brake cleaner
compressed air to blow old dust off/away
Loc-tite (for set screws on rotors)
Disc brake pad spreader (use only on the old pads, gets the pistons to go back so you can fit the caliper back on once you have put the new pads on)
sandpaper
long awl (to help remove the retaining pin on the rear calipers)
hammer to tap the chatter clips back once your all done
