Steering Damper #3 Stabilus???
I'm about to purchase my second steering damper. The first two (3 including the original) were the black OEM replacements that seem to be readily available. I thought this time I would change brands and try a Stabilus damper. I haven't found anyone that lists it as available for a crossfire but they do have them for the SLK320 (part number W0133-1626046).
Has anyone installed this damper and if so how does it compare?

I installed the Stabilus this weekend. There doesn't seem to be any difference from stock other than this one wasn't leaking. I won't know how it drives until I get it off the blocks.
I'm going to replace mine this weekend with Stabilus damper, also from AutohausAZ. Just curious, can it be done without putting the car on a lift?
79K miles on the original.

Well, i did the damper replacemet this weekend and its true, it makes a heck of a difference! The one i took off was the original damper. I expected it to be loose and free-moving, but it was nearly seized. New one works great though.
