Default Tire Life

Hello, I am looking at a 2005 Crossfire Roadster, with 21000 miles on it. What is the life expectancy of these tires? Do you think I can get another 10,000 miles out of them? I havent looked at the car yet, it is 250 miles away.
thanks

From my limited experience, the OEM continentals last a long time. I'd say you'd easily get over 30k miles out of them.

You will have to look at them. At 26K my rears were gone. Fronts were decent. So replaced all four at 26K.

Brings up a valid question. Is OP looking at a SRT-6 or a N/A. I think that extra HP might burn some extra rubber

It all depends how they were driven and maintained.

Amazed no one mentions climate issues...
My Florida tires were all dried up. And only 900 miles on the car.

The tread life of a tire is directly related to the accuracy of the four-wheel alignment. If alignment is dialed in correctly, the OEM Conti's (a harder rubber tire) should go 30K miles if not abused by unreasonable driving habits.

I second what Kane said. I just replaced my fronts at 17K but due to bent wheel issues. Still 6/32 on the original Conti's on the good part of the tire. Rears i am keeping, also with a good 6/32. I have not yet measured the depth on the new Conti's I put on the front (identical to OEM) but I believe I read somewhere that new they have 9/32.

I would say you could get 30K out of them, but the stars better be in alignment as well as your 4 wheels and I'd bet you'll be down to the wear bars, which is not a good thing to do anyway, especially with these cars.
